Good Things Sunday

I’ve been writing these weekly “Good Things” lists on and off for the last five or six years – I’m glad to have a more permanent home for them.

Had lunch with this newly-three-year-old bossy femme, who showed me her glitter nails.

+ daily blogging has been super fun. Thanks for so much enthusiasm, online and in person. Special shoutouts to my best friends Desiree and Julia for the props & expertise.

+ Nick’s record should be complete by the end of the day. It isn’t out until the late summer, but it is the best thing he has ever done. & I’m not just saying that because he says such delightful things about me on it. All of the people involved with the Feelings are so wonderful & I am really thankful that Nick has found people to play music with who really get as excited about the entire process as he does.

+ catching the end of Bry Webb’s show on Friday was the perfect end of a really long workday.

+ solo treks to the beauty supply store

+ date night: I had to work late yesterday & Nick showed up with a pizza for us to eat together behind the counter. We had both come up with the idea simultaneously – it’s nice to be able to work somewhere that people can visit.

+ Sunday is my day off so there is lots and lots and lots of time for knitting.

+ the chandelier sway of these enormous earrings I have – they’re heavy as hell which means that every nod and glance has super momentum.
