Fashion Blog Friday

Batman sweater, shorts, leather jacket. Oh yeah. via Tokyo Fashion

The other day Carly remarked that if this unseasonably warm weather continues, we’ll have six months of summer. Fashion-wise, my first thought was: gross!

I know, I’m supposed to have a total boner for pastels and brights and flowy little dresses right now, but I absolutely do not. I’m looking at my recently-completed hats and cowls and not wanting to put them away. I’m spending lots of time looking at Fall/Winter collections online and I’m basically ready for all of that right this second. Teleport me to a new place with a perpetual autumn, sunny weather every day, and no humidex. Someone help me translate my hard femme knit & leather-heavy fashion inspiration for the summer. Please?

Julia linked to a couple of photos from Fashion East, a maritime fashion blog. I love seeing style from outside of the major Canadian fashion cities. I’ve never been to Halifax, where this blog is based, but I’m definitely gonna follow along. The posts so far are definitely appealing:

& last but not least, I fell HARD for the Hiroko Koshino Autumn/Winter collection that Tokyo Fashion posted this week. Someone get me into one of these cowl-y, cocoon-y tunics, stat.

Girl I’m totally with you. I wish there was a place that was consistently fall…that would be perfect. As much as I love the warmer weather, there is a happy medium. For instance today…I was perfectly comfortable with what I wore, pants, a tee and my denim jacket…I probably could have worn shorts and a sweater…and that’s one of my favourite things. The weather today was great! Add a little bit of sunshine and it would have been perfect. Great photos in this post! Checking out that blog now too…and messaging my friend Lianne who lives in Halifax and telling her to find these people and hang with them :)

    Happy Weekend!
