That whole preppy sweater thing with the cardigan and the straight-cut slacks and the loafers & the vintage sunglasses is all good. It works! It’s great. Still, I can’t help but think that knitwear’s “classic” reputation stops people from getting a little experimental with their knits. I love a good self-consciously fashion-y outfit sometimes, and damn it, that shit looks better with knits.
I love an oversized knit. & I love taking that & pairing it with an equally bombastic texture & shape. I love this whole BIG SWEATER AND ALSO BIG MAXI SKIRT thing, above. & I love the sweater + full volume skirt thing. & I love knitwear with leather and denim and sequins, of course.

Just recently found your blog…
I’m a 60 ish granny raising my granddaughter…. she was 3 months old when she arrived and is now 9 yrs old… no time to be depressed when she was younger and needed so much of my time and company, but now she is mostly doing her own thing and growing up so swiftly I find as the days are growing darker and cooler my old patterns of SAD are returning as well….. LOVE the way you write and totally adore the frankness of your blog! You ROCK!
